Civic body officials to make daily field visits for prompt redressal of public issues in Vijayawada

Officials from the Engineering, Public Health, and Town Planning departments of the Vijayawada Municipal Corporation (VMC) conducted joint inspections in the city on Monday for prompt redressal of public issues.

Following instructions of the VMC commissioner, H.M. Dhyanachandra, officials visited the areas surrounding Loyola College in the 4th Division of the city and interacted with the residents.

The Commissioner had laid emphasis on the importance of daily field visits by officials to maintain communication with the public and resolve their issues. He instructed Executive Engineers, Assistant Medical Health Officers, Assistant City Planners to participate in such visits in each circle.

Sanitation, Amenities, and Planning Secretaries at the Secretariat level should carry out joint inspections in their respective areas daily to identify and address public issues, he said.

During these visits, Additional Commissioner (Projects) D. Chandrashekar, Chief Engineer R. Srinath, In-charge Medical Health Officer Suresh Babu, Executive Engineer Samrajyam, and others participated.
