Suryapet: In a symbolic gesture, BRS leaders submitted a memorandum at the statue of Dr BR Ambedkar at Suryapet and appealed to him for intervention against what they describe as anti-democratic policies of the current government led by Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy.
The BRS leaders accused Revanth Reddy and the Congress government of trampling on the democratic rights enshrined in the Constitution written by Ambedkar. They highlighted the government’s actions, which they claim are against the interests of the people, particularly the tribal farmers in Lagacherla.
The memorandum detailed allegations of false cases being filed against tribal farmers in Lagacherla. The BRS leaders accused the government of obstructing bail for these farmers in court, making it difficult for them to receive even basic medical attention. They demanded the immediate withdrawal of these false cases.
The BRS leaders urged the Chief Minister and the Congress government to be enlightened by the wisdom of Ambedkar and to fulfill the promises made to the people.
