Man booked for dumping guard’s body in garbage bin in Hyderabad


Hyderabad:A construction site owner, who dumped his security guard’s body in a garbage bin, was arrested for causing disappearance of evidence by Bowenpally police on Tuesday.

According to the police, Manjulapalli Yakaiah was found dead at an under-construction site in Anjaiah Nagar Colony. Shaik Jahangir, 46, in the early hours noticed his security guard Yakaiah lying dead on the floor.

Jahangir placed Yakaiah in his car and dumped it at a garbage bin two kilometers from the construction site and went back home.

After Yakaiah’s wife Manjupalli Savatri asked Jahangir about Yakaiah, he lied that he was unaware about his location, police said.

Savatri lodged a missing complaint with Bowenpally police who found Jahangir placing the body into his car and dumping it in

the garbage bin.

During questioning Jahangir disclosed that Yakaiah accidentally died after he fell from the fourth floor of his under-construction site while curing the walls late on Monday night, B Lakshmi Narayana Reddy, SHO Bowenpally police said.

Yakaiah, a native of Mansurabad, Warangal district, had come to the city along with his wife Savatri a few months back and was working as a security guard at Jahangir’s site, police said.

Police registered a case for causing disappearance of evidence under section 238 BNS and shifted the victim’s body to Gandhi hospital mortuary for postmortem.
