President of India Droupadi Murmu arrived in Hyderabad on Tuesday evening for the annual Southern Sojourn. She was received at the Air Force Station in Hakimpet by Telangana Governor Jishnu Dev Varma, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and Minister for Panchayat Raj, Rural Development, Women and Child Welfare, D. Anasuya.
The President during her stay is scheduled to participate in a series of events. On Wednesday, December 18, she is scheduled to inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for several initiatives at Rashtrapati Nilayam in Bolarum, Secunderabad.
On December 20, President Murmu will present the President’s Colours to the College of Defence Management, Secunderabad, recognising its service and excellence in defence education. Later that evening, she will host an ‘At Home’ reception at Rashtrapati Nilayam, where dignitaries from the State, prominent citizens, and academics are expected to gather.
