Rashtrapati Nilayam to host 15-day flower and horticulture fest from Dec. 29

Rashtrapati Nilayam at Bolarum, Secunderabad, is set to host a 15-day Flower and Horticulture Festival starting from December 29.

President Droupadi Murmu, on Wednesday, reviewed the preparations for the festival’s inauguration and assessed the amenities planned for visitors. She also inaugurated an eatery by Mitti Café and a souvenir shop at the visitor facilitation centre.

The festival, organised in collaboration with the Department of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare, the National Institute of Agricultural Extension Management (MANAGE) Hyderabad, and the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), is a celebration of nature aimed at promoting environmental conservation and sustainability. Through thematic stalls and workshops, visitors will have an opportunity to learn about innovations and technological advancements in agriculture and horticulture, fostering greater awareness and participation in these fields, said a release.
