Telugu film producer Dil Raju takes charge as Telangana Film Development Corporation chairman

HYDERABAD: Noted film producer V Venkata Ramana Reddy, popularly known as Dil Raju, who took charge as chairman of Telangana Film Development Corporation on Wednesday, said efforts would be made to develop Hyderabad as a base for the Indian film industry itself.
“As it is, shootings for Hindi films and other language films take place here, but the vision of chief minister A Revanth Reddy is to make Hyderabad a hub where Indian cinema as such looks to Hyderabad as the destination,” Dil Raju said.
Dil Raju mentioned that film distributors and producers have some requests to make for the govt, and he would facilitate better communication and resolution of the issues by taking them up with the govt.
“There was a time when the FDC was more involved with the film industry and the making of films. The govt’s vision is to bring back that kind of era where the FDC and film industry work together,” he said.
Dil Raju stated that CM Revanth Reddy and cinematography minister Komatreddy Venkat Reddy have entrusted him with a responsibility, and he would discharge his functions in a manner that would help the film industry resolve some issues it was facing and bring FDC and the film industry closer.
