The family of head constable Gnanasyamsunder Rao, who served at the Ramannapet police station and died in a road accident on June 19, 2024 receiving the aid.
Rachakonda Commissioner of Police G. Sudheer Babu handed over financial assistance to the families of two policemen who lost their lives while in service.
Assistant Reserve Sub-Inspector Srinivasulu, who served at the Yadadri Bhuvanagiri Armed Police Headquarters, passed away on August 27, 2024 after battling cancer. His wife Sunitha was handed a cheque for ₹7,94,120. Similarly, head constable Gnanasyamsunder Rao, who served at the Ramannapet Police Station and died in a road accident on June 19, 2024, was represented by his widow Jyoti, who received a cheque for ₹15,94,960.
Commissioner Sudheer Babu expressed his condolences to the bereaved families and directed the administrative staff to ensure that pension and other financial benefits due to the families are processed without delay. The programme was attended by Rachakonda Additional DCP (Admin) K. Sivakumar, president of the Police Officers Association Bhadra Reddy, and family members of the deceased officers.
