Komatireddy and Harish spar over their roles

Hyderabad: A heated debate ensued in the assembly on Thursday between former minister T Harish Rao and R&B minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy regarding their roles and authority to address the assembly.
During the question hour, when Komatireddy was speaking, Harish Rao objected saying that the minister was speaking when the subject was not related to his portfolio and that all ministers were intervening even though questions were not pertaining to their subject.
Rebutting Harish Rao, the roads and buildings minister wondered why is leader of opposition K Chandrasekhar Rao is absent from the assembly for more than a year. He sought to ask if KCR or Harish Rao is BRS floor leader in the assembly.
He said BRS leaders owe people of state an explanation for KCR’s prolonged absence from the House. He sought a clarification if Harish Rao is serving as deputy floor leader or floor leader.
Komatireddy also criticised the former BRS govt for ignoring Nalgonda district and said Harish Rao lacks the moral authority to address the concerns of the people of Nalgonda.
