Realme is gearing up to end 2024 with a bang, unveiling its highly anticipated 14 Pro Series 5G, co-designed with Nordic industrial design studio Valeur Designers. While the exact launch date remains unclear, Realme has come out and revealed the first look at the design of the Realme 14 Pro series 5G, its Redmi Note 14 Pro series competitor. The Oppo spin-off announced today that the series—which will presumably have the Realme 14 Pro and Realme 14 Pro Plus models—will sport a groundbreaking temperature-responsive, colour-changing back design.
The Realme 14 Pro series phones will have thermochromic pigments that react to temperature shifts, transforming the back cover from pearl white to vibrant blue below 16-degree Celsius and back as temperatures rise. Inspired by the dynamic hues of deep-sea creatures, this design promises a mesmerising user experience. Adding to the allure, the “Unique Pearl Design” variant uses organic seashell powder to create a shell-like texture, ensuring no two devices are alike. The back cover is crafted using 95-percent eco-friendly, bio-based materials through a 30-step process, Realme claims.
Realme has also put a quad-curved display on the 14 Pro+ 5G, offering a 93.8 percent screen-to-body ratio for an immersive viewing experience. Previously, only the Realme GT 7 Pro had such a screen. The device also introduces the “Ocean Oculus” triple-camera system, enhanced by the MagicGlow Triple Flash, which is said to restore natural skin tones in low-light conditions for vibrant night portraits.
Realme has already announced that the Realme 14 Pro series 5G will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset. Realme has also boldly claimed superior camera performance compared to the Redmi Note 14 lineup.
With IP66, IP68, and IP69 certifications, the Realme 14 Pro Series is built to withstand dust, water immersion, and high-pressure jets, as well. TÜV Rheinland certification further underscores its rugged reliability.
Following the success of the Realme 13 Pro series earlier this year, Realme is eying to dominate the mid-range segment with the upcoming 14 Pro Series. Watch this space for more details.
