Hyderabad: Telangana Congress MLAs and MLCs, led by TPCC chief Mahesh Kumar Goud, staged a protest at the Gandhi statue within the Assembly grounds in response to Amit Shah’s remarks about Ambedkar in Parliament. Ministers Ponnam Prabhakar and Jupally Krishna Rao joined the protest, demanding an immediate apology from Amit Shah for his comments regarding Ambedkar.
While Prabhakar raised concerns about the BRS’s silence on Amit Shah’s controversial remarks, the TPCC chief called for Amit Shah’s removal from the Union cabinet over his statement. Meanwhile, he stated that BRS working president KTR said BRS has no gumption to speak against Adani. “We have been saying that they should tell their stand on Adani. Congress is clear; we returned 100 crore funds from Adani,” he said. tnn
