Former Head of the Department of Journalism, Osmania University, K. Stevenson and a group of veteran journalists of the Twin Cities were felicitated in a function organised here on Friday (December 20).
Journalists for Christ, a collective of Christian Journalists joined hands to organise the pre-Christmas celebrations at CSI Diocesan Office here. The event was attended by Bishop of CSI Medak Diocese Rt. Rev. K. Reuben Mark.
It was an occasion to remember as several students of Mr. Stevenson from Osmania University’s Journalism Department, presently holding key editorial roles in different media organisations, felicitated him for mentoring hundreds of budding journalists. Veteran journalists Strezy Rajan, N. Ravi Kumar, S.B. Vijaya Mary, A. Joseph Antony and Pruthviraj Rayasam were felicitated on the occasion for their contributions to journalism spanning over three decades.
CSI Medak Diocese vice-chairman Winston, CSI Garrison Wesley Church Lal Bazar, Presbyter in-charge Rev. M. Rajeshwar Solomon, St. John’s the Baptist Presbyter Rev. U. Daniel, National Christian Council founder-president Sam Paul, Telangana Christian Minority Finance Corporation chairman Deepak John and TPCC secretary Ezekiel addressed the gathering.
