Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC) Commissioner P. Sampath Kumar made a surprise visit to several Sachivalayams and Anna Canteens in the city on Thursday.
Mr. Sampath Kumar visited a couple of Sachivalayams along Beach Road stretch. He enquired about the services being offered to people at the offices and suggested that a notice board be erected outside the office detailing the services offered. He also spoke with citizens who had come to the Sachivalayam and took their feedback on service delivery. After checking the register, the Commissioner asked the Sachivalayam staff to attend awareness campaigns being organised by the GVMC, as the visitor turnout to the offices was low.
Later, Mr. Sampath Kumar visited the Anna Canteen near Regional Eye Hospital (REH) and took feedback on the quality of food being served to the public. He asked the staff to ensure the premises of the canteen is maintained well.
