The second half shows the challenges faced by the police while moving Perumal through the forest to the border check post and the moves made by the members of the Praja Dal to escape him. Otherwise, except for one or two scenes, there are no unexpected twists in the story. The second half feels like the whole story is moving slowly here and there. Although Soori’s performance in the role of Kumaresan is impressive, the role is not given proper importance in this story. His performance in the key scenes is mind-blowing. The story written by Vetrimaran.. although the way it is shown in a realistic way is good.. there is no speed in the story. However, the way Perumal and Kumaresan portray reality is impressive. But, it seems that most of the characters in the movie are not given a proper ending. Ilayaraja’s songs and background music were the attraction of this movie. “Paurama..” song is melodious. Velraj visuals are an additional strength of the movie. The build values are high.
