VISAKHAPATNAM: Acting on a tip-off, the Visakhapatnam Railway Protection Force (RPF) team rescued 11 girls, including nine minor girls, from a train at Visakhapatnam railway station on Saturday. One person, Ravi Kumar B, involved in illegal human trafficking, was nabbed.
The RPF team said the rescued children belonged to parts of southern Odisha. The preliminary investigation revealed that Ravi Kumar and his accomplices were bringing minors to parts of Andhra Pradesh for work by manipulating details of the minors on Aadhar cards.
The rescued children will be sent to their respective homes under police security. The police have launched a hunt for a few more persons in connection with the human trafficking case.
