This time 14 candidates have got 100 percentile in the Common Entrance Examination CAT-2024 for admission to the MBA program of the Indian Institute of Management (IIM). Of these, 13 are male students and one female student and 13 are from engineering background. Among the toppers, there are five candidates from Maharashtra, two from Telangana and one each from Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh and Kerala.

29 candidates have got 99.99 percentile. Among them, there are two girls and 27 boys. 28 are from engineering and one from nonengineering background. 30 candidates have secured 99.98 percentile in the examination. This year, only four girl students are in merit who have secured the top three percentile, while 69 students have achieved this feat. Admission in 21 IIMs will be based on the merit of this result. 91 non-IIM institutes will also use CAT percentile for admission to their management programs this year.

2.93 lakh candidates had appeared in this examination. The CAT exam was conducted on November 24 in three shifts. Slot 1 is from 8:30 am to 10:30 am, Slot 2 is from 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm and Slot 3 is from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm. Around 3.29 lakh candidates had applied for the MBA entrance exam, while 2.93 lakh candidates appeared for the exam, with the overall attendance recorded at 89%.
