Hyderabad: The First Special Judicial Magistrate, Hyderabad, Devireddy Abiram Reddy, has sentenced Mohammed Azam, a cloth trader, to one day’s simple imprisonment and a fine of Rs 100 for running his business beyond the permissible time.
According to police, Azam runs a cloth shop in Pathergatti under Charminar police station. During night patrolling at around 1am, the police found his shop open. As he could not give any proper reason for keeping the shop open till midnight, a petty case of violation of rules was registered against him.
According to guidelines, only eateries are allowed to operate till 1 am and all other establishments till 11 pm.
