Cyberabad Traffic Police X handle hacked

The official X handle of the Cyberabad Traffic Police, @HYDTP, has reportedly been hacked, prompting swift action by authorities.

The account was transformed, with the hacker reposting content about cryptocurrency platforms, including a private firm’s stablecoin. The authorities have assured that while the account was compromised, no further harm has been identified, and there has been no breach of sensitive data.

“We are on it to recover the account. Efforts are underway. No other systemic damage or data breach has been noticed. Only the X handle is hacked,” said Joel Davis, Joint Commissioner of Cyberabad Traffic Police.

This incident follows a similar case reported on December 18, where the Hyderabad Traffic Police’s social media account was compromised. In that case, politically sensitive posts were liked by the account without authorisation.
