WAISL is proud to announce the launch of its Digital Twin-Powered Integrated Airport Predictive Operations Centre (APOC) at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, Hyderabad. The inauguration was graced by Honourable Union Minister of Civil Aviation, Ram Mohan Naidu Kinjarapu, who applauded the pioneering efforts of the leadership of the airport and their technology partners.
This cutting-edge solution makes Rajiv Gandhi International Airport the first in India to implement a fully integrated digital twin-powered APOC, which encompasses the terminal, airside, and landside operations. The system integrates more than 40 modules and tracks over 100 key performance indicators (KPIs), designed to manage 40 million passengers annually.
By incorporating next-generation technologies such as Cloud Computing, AI/ML, Computer Vision, and Data Analytics, the system offers a predictive, prescriptive, and simulative insight into the airport’s entire ecosystem. WAISL has partnered with Kloudspot for IoT technology and AWS to advance the solution, taking it global.
Rishi Mehta, President & CEO of WAISL Ltd., shared, “We are setting a new benchmark for airports worldwide. Our approach goes beyond innovation by strategically applying technology to complex operational challenges, transforming the future of airport management.”
This solution provides real-time insights, predicts disruptions, and optimizes performance by learning from past data. It increases operational efficiency, optimises non-aero revenue streams, and reduces costs, contributing to improved passenger satisfaction and reduce flight delays.
Preetham Kamesh, Acting Global Chief Business Officer, emphasized WAISL’s commitment to digital transformation, stating, “This milestone underscores our dedication to driving end-to-end digital operations transformation at airports globally.”
