Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, speaking at the assembly, today criticized Allu Arjun in a harsh manner and said that the actor didn’t leave the cinema theater even after the death of a woman in a stampede.
CM Revanth Reddy also alleged that Allu Arjun attended the premiere show of “Pushpa 2” at Sandhya Theater on December 4 despite police permission being denied. CM further questioned why the entire Tollywood industry’s personalities went to Allu Arjun’s home after he returned from Chanchalaguda jail.
Allu Arjun convened a press meet late in the evening in reaction to CM’s allegations. The ‘Pushpa 2’ star clarified that he was not informed about the death of woman Renuka by police when he was at the theater. He said he came to know about the death only in the morning when he was at his residence.
“It was an unfortunate incident, and, genuinely speaking, nobody is at fault. I have no intention of blaming anyone, any department, or the government. I came here to clarify that there is a lot of misinformation and false accusations. I just went to see the movie in the theatre, and I have been to this theatre 20-30 times, and there has been information that I’ve been very irresponsible while I was at the theatre, which is not true at all.”
Allu Arjun stated that there is an attempt to assassinate his name and character.
“I have been feeling pain in my heart for the past 15 days and constantly inquiring about the health condition of Shri Tej. My father, Allu Aravind, and director Sukumar visited the hospital. As per my legal time, I didn’t go to the hospital. On December 4, I did whatever police told me; I didn’t act irresponsibly,” he added.
None of the allegations are true, Allu Arjun clarified.
