Talking about the many versions of the film, Vetimaaran said, “We have taken as much as we can during the shooting. We have made several versions like the theater version and a separate version for film festivals. We have a separate version of 4 hours for the first part and 3 hours for the second part to be screened at the international film festival. The total is 8 hours. This is a time film, so there may be a different version sent abroad. “We have already sent the version that is being screened abroad. I have added some additional scenes to the OTD. An additional 1 hour will be added to the OTD.”
He also said, “Since the story unfolds through Suri in the first part, we thought it would be good if Suri gave her voice over. Since the story unfolds through Vathiyar’s story in the second part, we thought it would be good if Vijay Sethupathi gives the voice over. But, since it was Kumaresan (Suri) who started this story, we gave Suri’s voice over for the second part as well.”
Meanwhile, Vijay Sethupathi said, “There are many amazing scenes in this film. It would be great if the deleted scenes were released as a promo.” He said.
