The Sandhya 70mm stampede case has taken an ugly turn today when several members of the Osmania University Joint Action Committee (OUJAC) attacked actor Allu Arjun’s residence. The miscreants threw stones and eggs and damaged a portion of the Pushpa 2 actor’s residence. They went on to demand the film’s leading actors, Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna, pay Rs 25 crore and Rs 15 lakhs, respectively, to the stampede victim Revathi’s family.
While Allu Arjun and the Allu family are yet to make an official statement on the attack, Telangana CM Revanth Reddy took to X and vehemently condemned the attack. “I condemn the attack on film personalities. I instruct the state DGP and the Commissioner of Police to act strictly on any incidents that disrupt the law and order,” tweeted Revanth Reddy.
Referring to the suspended ACP Sabbati Vishnu Murthy’s fiery press meet against Allu Arjun, CM Revanth Reddy instructed the police department to take action against the policemen who are not related to the case from making public statements.
I condemn the attack on the houses of film celebrities.
I am ordering the State DGP and City Police Commissioner to act strictly in the matter of law and order. There is no tolerance for laxity in this regard.
Police personnel not involved in the Sandhya Theater incident did not respond to the higher authorities…
