Medicos flag concern over NEET PG counselling delays

Hyderabad: The Telangana Junior Doctors Association has raised concerns over delayed NEET PG counselling, saying that students from Telangana are at a disadvantage due to the delay.
The academic year commenced on Dec 20, and with students from other states getting a chance at the state quota, it will affect their chances, they said.
“Many students relinquish the all-India quota in anticipation of state quota allocations, which are then filled by students from other states. The delay intensifies competition during state counselling, reducing opportunities for Telangana students,” said TJUDA.
It requested the state govt to conduct two rounds of counselling before the third round of the all-India quota and said the results for the state quota should be declared before the third round so that students have an option for the all-India quota round.
