Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh defeated Hyderabad by three wickets in the Men’s Under-23 State A Trophy at GSFC Cricket ground, Vadodara (Gujarat) on Monday. Uttar Pradesh bowlers restricted Hyderabad to 279 in 50 overs. Chasing the total, UP were in trouble at one stage but Siddhartha Yadav‘s century propelled Uttar Pradesh to 283/7 in 47 overs.
Batting first, Hyderabad’s skipper Himateja’s half century took his team to 279 in 50 overs. Wicketkeeper Rahul Radesh (49) missed fifty by one run while Krithik Reddy (36) and Aman Rao (32) contributed useful runs for the team. For UP, Kunal Tyagi and Yashovardhan Singh claimed three wickets and Vijay Kumar and Prashant Veer took two wickets apiece.
For UP, Siddhartha smashed 115 off 105 balls with the help of six boundaries and eight sixes. Adarsh Singh scored 71 runs off 77 balls. Shaurya Singh contributed significant 35 runs.
