Bhavani Deeksha Viramana concludes | Vijayawada News

Vijayawada: The Bhavani Deeksha Viramana ceremony concluded with great fervour at the Durga Malleswara Swamy temple on Indrakeeladri in Vijayawada. The final rituals were performed, culminating in the Purnahuti at the Chandi Homam Mandiram. Holy chants reverberated in the temple premises.
The event, which began on Nov 21 with the Agni Pratishthapana in the Homagundam, witnessed participation of Bhavani devotees observing Mandala Deeksha and Ardha Mandala Deeksha. Temple executive officer KS Rama Rao highlighted the seamless coordination among govt departments that contributed to the event’s success.
The Indrakeeladri temple, a major spiritual destination not just in Telugu states but across India, attracted devotees from Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, and other regions. Devotees described their darshan of Goddess Durga as a ‘profoundly spiritual and fulfilling’ experience.
This year, the temple authorities incorporated technological advancements to enhance the experience for devotees. A specially-developed mobile app, “Bhavani Deeksha 2024,” provided detailed information about 24 key aspects of the event. For the first time, QR-coded wristbands were introduced for children to ensure their safety by helping locate them if they got lost.
This initiative was successfully implemented with the assistance of the women and child welfare department.
