Coordinator inspects arrangements for the Chief Minister’s visit to ENC Operational Demonstration in Visakhapatnam on January 4


Coordinator to Chief Minister’s programmes Pendurthi Venkatesh on Tuesday inspected the ongoing arrangements for Mr. N Chandrababu Naidu’s scheduled visit to Visakhapatnam to attend Operational Demonstration by the Eastern Naval Command (ENC) on the Beach Road on January 4, 2025.

Accompanied by officials of the Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC), Visakhapatnam Metropolitan Region Development Authority (VMRDA) and ENC, Mr Venkatesh inspected the arrangements being done in front of Viswa Priya Function Hall. As per the proposed schedule, Mr. Naidu will reach the Visakhapatnam Airport, from where he will again fly to Naval Coastal Battery (NCB) to reach the Beach Road. After witnessing the Op. Demo, Mr. Naidu will address the public. Later, he will take part in high-tea which is going to be organised by the Naval authorities.

GVMC Commissioner P. Sampath Kumar, Joint Collector Mayur Ashok and Naval officials explained about the arrangements, seating, expected public attendance, traffic, security and other arrangements to Mr. Venkatesh.

Already, barricading works were being taken up on the Beach Road stretch. GVMC has also started working on the Beach Road beautification, illumination and greenery works. Full-fledged works are expected to begin after the New Year’s eve programme. A few days ago, District Collector Harendhira Prasad took part in a review meeting with the ENC officials about the arrangements.
