Five persons, including two children, were injured after a gas cylinder allegedly exploded in a house at Old Dairy Farm area under the Arilova police station limits here on Wednesday. It is learnt that a woman was severely injured in the accident. The incident allegedly occurred while the woman was cooking. The compound wall of the house was completely damaged due to the explosion. Arilova Police reached the spot and are ascertaining the facts. All the victims were shifted to Visakha Institute of Medical Sciences (VIMS). More details are yet to be ascertained.
Visakhapatnam East MLA Velagapudi Ramakrishna Babu visited the hospital and enquired about the condition of the victims from VIMS Director K. Rambabu.
