Kolluru Rama Rao of Visakhapatnam was honoured with the Public Relations Society of India (PRSI) Lifetime Achievement Award at the recent PRSI national conference held in Raipur.
The award was presented to K. Rama Rao by Nanda Kumar Sahi, former Member of Parliament (Chattisgarh), in the presence of PRSI national president Ajith Pathak and national secretary general P.L..K. Murthy.
Mr. Rama Rao has had a distinguished career in Public Relations, spanning over four decades. He began his journey in 1974 at Hindusthan Shipyard and later moved to Dredging Corporation of India as Manager, Public Relations, in 1977. After retiring in 2006, he joined Sankar Foundation Eye Hospital as Head of Public Relations and served until 2023.
A dedicated member of the PRSI, Mr. Rama Rao served as Chairman of the PRSI Visakhapatnam Chapter for over a decade, promoting Public Relations in a big way in the region.
