Hyderabad: In the aftermath of the Sandhya Theatre stampede and the arrest of actor Allu Arjun, Movie Artistes Association president Manchu Vishnu has called for patience, empathy and unity within the film industry.
“In the past, our industry has developed significantly with the support of govts. Notably, the encouragement provided by the Congress govt under the leadership of then chief minister M Chenna Reddy was crucial for the Telugu film industry to settle in Hyderabad. From then on, our industry has always maintained good relations with every govt. Considering recent developments, all members are advised to refrain from publicly expressing personal opinions on sensitive matters or making decisions on controversial issues,” he said on Wednesday.
Without mentioning the Allu Arjun issue, Vishnu said law will deliver justice in its own way. TNN
