BHPian joybhowmik recently shared this with other enthusiasts: Park Brake Failure.Charging not possible-again! The DT had mentioned infotainment update v15.68 would resolve the Park Brake Failure message on instrument cluster (per release notes). He had also mentioned it’s one of the hardest errors to track down, far less re-create. I’d noticed it on occasion whenever I had opened the right door (driver’s door) using the request sensor. Before starting the engine. Well, I got the error again this time. I saw it through the window glass – when I unlocked using the key fob. So this error does get triggered sometimes by opening the driver door, or by unlocking using the key fob. It hasn’t yet got triggered when unlocking using the app. And it also doesn’t happen everytime one unlocks using request sensor or the key fob. If anyone has seen this error appearing under other circumstances, or has a sure fire way of re-creating it – then please comment. iTPMS System Fault 07-October-2024 The other error I saw on the instrument cluster , after doing errands all over the city all day , was a TPMS System Fault. The error appeared after I’d pulled up at the last stop of the day – at a mall to complete some Durga Puja shopping. While parking, I realized I had not parked between the lines. So as soon as I restarted the car: I did not have the energy to go to the Service Center, so I asked friends in my group. I was told that it could be because I had low pressure in my tyres. That simply wasn’t true. I’d begun the day topping up the tyre pressure using the supplied compressor. I’d infact filled air to approximately 40 psi, instead of the recommended 38 psi (for 4 pax). (This is due to the utter lack of precision on the supplied compressor. I need to go buy a better air compressor with a digital readout). Someone then asked me to readout the tyre pressure on the tyres- this is the Sensairy readout. I also verified these pressures with an analog tyre pressure meter, that I’ve always carried around since 2012. The readings on Sensairy were accurate to 2 psi. And the 42 psi readout can be explained by approximately 50km of driving until that point.Someone suggested I restart the car. I did this twice, no visible change.Someone else suggested to reset the itpms. But I tried restarting again. On the third restart-MAGIC!The error disappeared from the instrument cluster.Maybe the error got triggered after driving around on tyres that had been filled to 40 psi. But then again, maybe not (Why didn’t it appear sooner? Wouldn’t it have been more useful before I started driving that day?) Only the software writers of the Tata Motors instrument cluster can perhaps shed some light. And an irritant : Tailgate sensor needs a hard shut: I wish the tailgate sensor accommodated a softer close. Every time I pull over at a security checkpoint, and the guard needs to inspect the contents of the trunk, it takes a hard slam of the tail gate to have the sensor register it as closed. I wish Tata Motors SC did something about this. It’s quite an irritant, having to constantly watch for the dome light to go out, or be unceremoniously told “tailgate is open!” whenever someone is done inspecting. This is not what one would expect in a 16 lakh+ car Check out BHPian comments for more insights and information.
