The Nampally court has postponed Allu Arjun’s regular bail plea in the Sandhya theater stampede case until December 30. Following the police’s request for further time, the Nampally court rescheduled the case for Monday.
The stampede case took a dramatic turn owing to political reasons after the tragic incident on December 4, in which a mother named Revathi died and her son was seriously injured. Allu Arjun was arrested by the police on December 13, and the Telangana High Court granted him interim relief that day, instructing him to petition for regular bail in local court.
Allu Arjun, who led the plea on Friday, appeared in court virtually.
A team of Telugu film industry personalities led by Dil Raju recently met with Chief Minister Revanth Reddy in an attempt to appease the government after the matter descended into a political slugfest. Although the official word is that the conference is for an action plan to make Hyderabad a global film hub, it is widely assumed that the gathering is simply a peace pact between the government and the industry in this case.
