Hyderabad: Unable to clear his loan and mounting pressure from bank officials, man died by suicide here in Bowenpally.
As per available information, M Narasimha (35), a native of Wanaparty, came to the city few years ago along with his wife and two children and was staying at a rented house in Old Bowenpally. He was running a coconut business.
Police said Narasimha borrowed a loan of Rs 5 lakh from a private bank in Gadwal to renovate his house in his village and also to develop his business. However, due to his meager earnings, he failed to pay the EMIs on time.
Recently, the bank officials came to his house in his village and also his shop in Hyderabad and warned of seizing them. Upset over it, he hanged himself to death in the house in the absence of his family members on Friday.
Based on a complaint from his wife, the Bowenpally police booked a case and took up investigation.
