Hyderabad: After a week of gloomy weather and rainfall, Telangana is experiencing a dip in minimum temperatures as clouds move towards northern parts of India. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Saturday’s district-wise data shows Kohir in Sangareddy recorded the lowest temperature at 13.1° Celsius.
Several districts, including Rangareddy, Medak, and Vikarabad, recorded minimum temperatures between 13.5°C and 14.3°C, a noticeable drop from the usual temperature. Hyderabad, at 15.3°C, was slightly warmer but still cooler than usual.
Warangal, Mahabubnagar, and Karimnagar also experienced chilly mornings, with temperatures ranging from 14.2°C to 14.8°C. However, Mancherial, Nizamabad, and Adilabad saw slightly higher temperatures, ranging from 16.7°C to 17.3°C.
The temperature drop is attributed to the clearing of clouds, allowing colder northern winds to impact the region. “While nights are expected to remain cold, daytime temperatures are predicted to rise above 27°C in most areas. Residents should brace for cooler nights in the coming days, particularly in areas already experiencing temperatures below 14°C,” said a senior IMD official.
