Allari Naresh’s Worst Year Yet

Allari Naresh once established himself as a comedy actor and became known for his entertaining roles. However, in recent years, he struggled to find his footing and appeared clueless about how to handle his career or which direction to take.

After finding success with Naandhi, an intense film that received both critical and audience appreciation, he was motivated to pursue more serious roles. Unfortunately, these attempts did not succeed due to weak content rather than his acting ability.

In 2024, Allari Naresh had two releases. One was Aa Okati Adakku, a comedy film that followed his usual style but became a complete washout. Many criticized the film for reusing a classic title and failing to deliver.

The other release, Bachchala Malli, saw him return to serious roles. Naresh put in a lot of effort, but the half-baked writing and direction led to the film being ignored by audiences. Bachchala Malli became a massive disaster, in the US, where it grossed under $40,000 – a shockingly low number for a known hero. Even in Telugu states, the film was a non-starter and failed miserably.
