Kia India has achieved a new sales milestone. The brand’s best-selling model, the Sonet, has clocked over 1 lakh sales since its launch in January 2024. The Sonet facelift went on sale in India on January 12, with prices starting at Rs 7.99 lakh (ex-showroom). According to the company, more than 9,000 units have been sold every month since launch. Three in every four Sonet buyers opted for the petrol version, while 80% went for the sunroof variants. The Sonet facelift is available with a 1.2-litre petrol engine mated with a 5-speed manual, a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine, which comes with either a 6-speed iMT or 7-speed DCT, and a 1.5-litre diesel engine that is offered with a 6-speed manual, 6-speed iMT and 6-speed automatic. The updated Sonet also features Level 1 ADAS, which includes features like Forward Collision Warning, Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, Lane Keep Assist, Lane Following Assist, Lane Departure Warning, High Beam Assist, Driver Attention Warning and Leading Vehicle Departure Alert.
