Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) has planned three major product launches for 2025. The e-Vitara electric SUV will be the first model to roll out from the carmaker’s stable, followed by the Fronx facelift and a new three-row SUV. Rumors suggest that the Baleno premium hatchback and Brezza might also receive minor updates in 2025. The new Maruti 7-seater SUV, which will be based on the Grand Vitara, is reportedly set to arrive toward the end of 2025.
New Maruti 7-Seater SUV – Expected Price
This new SUV will be Maruti Suzuki’s answer to the Hyundai Alcazar, Mahindra XUV700, and Tata Safari. It will serve as the new flagship offering from the Indo-Japanese automaker, with a starting price expected at Rs 12 lakh, while the top-end variant might cost around Rs 22 lakh (ex-showroom).
New Maruti 7-Seater SUV – Design and Features
Codenamed Y17, the Maruti Grand Vitara 7-seater will have a longer wheelbase and a slightly different design compared to the Grand Vitara. Testing of this new SUV is already underway, and its test mule has been spotted under heavy camouflage. The primary difference inside the cabin will be the seating layout. With an extended wheelbase, the SUV will accommodate an additional row of seats. However, the feature set will remain similar to the Grand Vitara, including a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, ventilated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, electronic stability control, six airbags, a 360-degree camera, and a tire pressure monitoring system.
The ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) might be the most significant feature upgrade. However, there is no official confirmation yet. Rumors suggest that the upcoming Maruti e-Vitara could be the brand’s first model to feature the ADAS suite.
Some changes will also be made to the SUV’s exterior. The Maruti Grand Vitara 7-seater might feature redesigned headlamps, tweaked front and rear bumpers, new taillamps, and updated alloy wheels.
