Conducts searches at 5 places in Hyderabad, Muzaffarpur and Mansa which led to the recovery of Rs 4.76 lakh cash and incriminating documents

Hyderabad: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) registered a bribery case against three persons, including two Inspectors of Customs and Central Excise, and a bank employee posted at the Customs Duty Collection Counter at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) on Friday.
According to the CBI officials, it was alleged that the customs officials working at the counters of the Customs Department, RGIA, demanded and accepted a bribe of Rs 50,000 from the complainant in October 2024, for customs clearance of the complainant and his family who arrived at Hyderabad from Jeddah.
Subsequently, the CBI also conducted searches at 5 places in Hyderabad, Muzaffarpur (Bihar) and Mansa (Punjab) which led to the recovery of Rs 4.76 lakh cash and incriminating documents. The investigation is on.
