Class 10 Boy Dies By Suicide After Alleged Assault By Girl’s Family Over New Year Wish


Hyderabad News: A 16-year-old student from a government school took his own life after reportedly being reprimanded and assaulted by the family of a girl he had sent New Year wishes to on January 1. The incident occurred in Bheemuni Malla Reddy village, located in the Rajanna Sircilla district.

The boy’s mother stated that she was also threatened by the girl’s family. Devastated by the ordeal, the boy took his own life at home, as confirmed by the police. According to a Times of India report, following the tragic event, the girl’s family is said to have left the village. Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.

In separate news, Residents of Hyderabad and surrounding areas can expect partly cloudy skies and haze today, with temperatures ranging from a low of 14 degrees Celsius to a high of 30 degrees Celsius. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast haze throughout the day, which may reduce visibility.

A fresh spell of cold wave-like conditions has gripped parts of Telangana, including the capital, leading to a drop in minimum temperatures. Dense fog covered the outskirts of Hyderabad and parts of Medak district on Thursday. The Telangana State Development Planning Society (TSDPS) reported that several areas in Medak and Sangareddy districts saw temperatures dip into single digits. Sirpur in Komaram Bheem Asifabad district recorded the coldest temperature at 7.3 degrees Celsius, while other areas, including Kohir and Tekmal, also saw temperatures fall below 10 degrees Celsius.

Hyderabad’s minimum temperature dropped to 11 degrees Celsius, with areas like Kompally, Patancheru and L B Nagar experiencing thick fog. The IMD has indicated dry weather for the state, with mist or hazy conditions likely during morning hours in isolated pockets over the next five days.
