The Hyundai Creta Electric, which recently made its global debut through official pictures, is all set to hit Indian roads on 17th January 2025, with its price announcement. The electric SUV will also be showcased at the Bharat Mobility Show. Select Hyundai dealers have already started accepting bookings for the Creta Electric with an initial amount of Rs 25,000. Deliveries are expected to begin in the early weeks of February. Let’s take a closer look at the key details of the Creta EV.
Variants, Range & Charging Time
The carmaker has confirmed that the Hyundai Creta Electric SUV model lineup will be available in four trims – Executive, Smart, Premium, and Excellence. These trims will come with two battery pack options – 42kWh and 51.4kWh – offering a claimed range of 390 km and 473 km (ARAI-rated), respectively. Hyundai states that the SUV’s Long-Range version accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.9 seconds. It can be charged from 10 to 80 percent in just 58 minutes using a DC charger and from 10 to 100 percent in 4 hours with an 11kW AC wall box charger. The EV features three drive modes – Eco, Normal, and Sport – and is equipped with i-Pedal technology.
Interior & Design Details
The interior of the Hyundai Creta Electric resembles its ICE counterpart, featuring the dual 10.25-inch screen setup. However, it gets an updated floating center console design and a new steering wheel. Features such as a 360-degree camera, panoramic sunroof, an ADAS suite, V2L (vehicle-to-load), and Hyundai’s digital key are included. The rest of its feature kit is expected to remain the same as the regular Creta. Hyundai has confirmed that the Creta EV will be offered in eight single-tone, two dual-tone, and three matte colors.
Hyundai has made a few cosmetic changes to the Creta Electric that distinguish it from the regular model. The EV features a new closed-off grille, aero-optimized alloy wheels, a more angular front bumper, and new soft plastic parts.
