HRD Minister Nara Lokesh has launched the mid-day Meals Program for Intermediate Students studying in Government Colleges.
Speaking on this occasion, Lokesh said, “We have decided to keep the education system away from politics. That is why we have started schemes in the names of celebrities. Equality should start from the student stage. In the books, there are male figures for games and female figures for household chores. I have ordered to remove these inequalities in the textbooks”.

Lokesh consistently maintained the stand that the Education should be away from Politics.
After coming to power, he renamed all the schemes after the Great Leaders removed the Political Names.

Also, he ordered that the Books should not have pictures of the Political Leaders including the Chief Minister and the Education Minister.
The Party Colours were also ordered to be removed from all Books.

Recently, the Government conducted Mega Parents Meet across the state. Lokesh ordered that Political Leaders should not go wearing Party Colors and Scarfs. He also ordered that there should be no decorations to the schools in party colors at the schools.
He is speaking about the importance of keeping the education system away from politics in all his speeches wherever possible.
This is earning tremendous respect and goodwill whenever he speaks and acts about the same.
People remember how the previous government did everything but paint Jagan’s pictures on the faces of students.
It is to be remembered that Chandrababu Naidu has banned Student Politics and Elections in all Colleges in the 1990s with the same idea.
