During the raid, DCA officers discovered a large quantity of medicines being stocked for unauthorized sale. A total of 59 types of medicines, including antibiotics, painkillers, anti-ulcer drugs, anti-diabetic medications, and antihypertensive drugs, were found stored on the premises.

Hyderabad: The Drugs Control Administration, Telangana officials, acting on credible information regarding the illegal sale of medicines, raided a medical shop located at Shivaji Nagar, Allapur, Kukatpally, on Friday.
The owner Sarangi Naga Shiva was running a medical shop at the said premises illegally without a drug licence, said V B Kamalasan Reddy, DG DCA.
During the raid, DCA officers detected unauthorized stocking of huge quantity of medicines for sale. A total 59 varieties of medicines including antibiotics, analgesics, antiulcer drugs, anti-diabetic drugs, antihypertensive drugs etc. are found stocked for sale at the premises.
DCA officials seized the stock of total worth Rs. 30,000 during the raid.
N. Sahaja, Drugs Inspector, Kukatpally, E. Naresh Reddy, Drugs Inspector, Balanagar and Dr. R. Geethanjali, Drugs Inspector, Prashanthnagar carried out the raid under the supervision of G. Sreenivas, Assistant Director, Medchal and T. Rajamouli, Assistant Director, Hyderabad.
DCA officers seized the samples for analysis. Further investigation shall be carried out and action shall be taken as per the law against all the offenders, said officials.
