Big Update On New-Gen Renault Duster’s Arrival!

We have all been eagerly waiting for the return of the iconic Renault Duster, which was discontinued in early 2022 due to poor sales. This time, India will receive the third-generation Duster. According to a fresh media report, the SUV’s all-new avatar will enter production in September this year, with its market launch scheduled for early 2026.

Interestingly, the French automaker will introduce the new Renault Duster with a three-row seating arrangement (i.e., a 7-seater layout) at a later stage. Nissan will also launch 5- and 7-seater derivatives of the new Duster SUV. Renault-Nissan’s manufacturing facility in Chennai will serve as the production hub for all four SUVs, catering to both domestic and export markets.

New Renault Duster Features (Expected)

The new Duster will have a more upmarket interior than its predecessor. The globally unveiled RHD (right-hand drive) version of the SUV comes equipped with features such as a 10.1-inch free-standing touchscreen infotainment system, a three-spoke steering wheel, a 7-inch fully digital instrument cluster, rear AC vents, and a circular dial for a 4WD selector. These features are expected to be included in the India-spec Duster as well.

The feature list is also expected to include wireless phone charging, a 6-speaker Arkamys 3D sound system, cruise control, multiple airbags, and more. An ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) suite will be offered, featuring lane keep assist, automatic emergency braking, and other advanced safety technologies.

Most of its design elements are likely to be inspired by the Dacia Bigster concept. The SUV might feature Y-shaped DRLs, extensive plastic cladding on the wheel arches, 18-inch alloy wheels, C-pillar-integrated rear door handles, and Y-shaped LED taillamps.

New Renault Duster Engine (Expected)

In India, the new Duster is likely to be offered with the 1.3L HR13 turbocharged petrol engine, delivering 156bhp. The Kiger’s 1.0L turbo petrol engine might also be available, albeit in a tuned version. Additionally, the lower variants of the SUV could be equipped with a 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol motor.
