Hyderabad’s Cherlapalli Railway Terminal declared open

Sridhar Babu, South Central Railways (SCR) general manager Arun Kumar Jain and others participated in the inauguration of Cherlapalli Terminal Station in Hyderabad on Monday (January 6, 2025).

The Cherlapalli Railway Terminal in Hyderabad was virtually inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday (January 6, 2025). It is the fourth terminal station in Hyderabad besides the ones in Secunderabad, Hyderabad and Kacheguda. The new addition would address the congestion at the latter three. 

The nearest Hyderabad Metro Rail station is in Habsiguda, which is nearly 11 kilometers away and Uppal Metro Station is 12 kilometers away. It is built with ₹413 crore. The new terminal station is located on Hyderabad’s eastern side. The terminal station has lifts, escalators, sleeping pods and other facilities for passengers.
