Nellore-based farmer’s short film bags three awards

Nellore-based farmer-turned-director Kalanjali Ananth’s Telugu short film Pandutakulu won three awards at a competition organised by Bhanumathi Ramakrishna Memorial Arts Academy in Hyderabad on Monday.

Pandutakulu bagged the award in the ‘Best Short Film’ category. Ananth donned the hats of story and screenplay writer for the movie, apart from the director’s role. Dr. K.K. Ramachandra Murthy and Muni Chandra received the awards in ‘Best Dialogue Writer’ and ‘Best Character Artist’ categories respectively.

Telangana Film Chamber president Prathani Ramakrishna Goud and former DGP Gopinath Reddy presented the awards and certificates to the winners, at the Film Chamber in Hyderabad on Sunday night.

Revealing the details of the actors and technicians of the short film, Mr. Ananth said, “Other actors include Dhanunjay, Parvatheesam, Lahari, and Dr. Chennakesav Prasannajaneyulu, while Christopher was the cameraman and Sangeeth Sourabh was the music director.”
