You can now pre-reserve the new Galaxy S series in India. We don’t know what it’s called or what it even looks like, but starting today, interested buyers can pre-reserve (which is not the same as booking) a unit in advance and get first dibs at a bunch of exclusive launch offers before Galaxy Unpacked on January 22. These customers also get early access to the upcoming devices, possibly before anybody else. Samsung does this with every new flagship Galaxy.
Ahead of launch on January 22, Samsung is letting buyers pre-reserve the next Galaxy S smartphones—tentatively called the Galaxy S25 series—by paying a token amount of Rs 2,000. This is refundable. Galaxy S25 pre-reservations are live starting today across Samsung.com, Samsung Exclusive Stores, and leading online and offline retail stores across India.
“Pre-reserved customers will be eligible for early access and receive benefits of up to Rs 5,000 on purchasing the new Galaxy S series devices,” Samsung said in a press release.
Samsung Galaxy Unpacked January 2025 details
Samsung announced today that its next Unpacked event will take place on January 22 in San Jose, California. The Galaxy S25, S25 Plus, and S25 Ultra, are expected to be the showstoppers at the event. Speculation is rife that all the three devices will come rocking the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chip in all the markets. The flagship S25 Ultra is in line to get quality-of-life improvements in design, display, and cameras. Galaxy AI will be a big focus area, too, with Samsung promising a “more natural and intuitive experience” that could redefine everyday interactions. Of course, we can expect many of these new features to trickle down to other Samsung devices down the line.
The other big announcement is around extended reality (XR). Samsung has confirmed to share more details about its maiden XR headset aka Project Moohan at the Galaxy S25 series launch which is where we can expect to see how it looks like and its capabilities. Mooohan is based on Google’s newly launched Android XR platform and is being billed as Samsung’s answer to Apple’s Vision Pro and Meta’s Quest headsets.
