Mahindra XEV 9e and BE 6 electric SUVs’ prices for the top-end Pack 3 variant have been revealed at an event in Pune. The entry-level Pack 1 of the BE 6 has been priced at Rs 18.90 lakh and the top-end Pack 3 costs Rs 26.90 lakh. The Mahindra XEV 9e comes within the price range of Rs 21.40 lakh (Pack 1 with the 59kWh battery) – Rs 30.50 lakh (Pack 3 with the 79kWh battery). All mentioned prices are ex-showroom. Prices of the mid-level Pack 2 variant are yet to be announced.

Booking & Delivery Details
Bookings for the Pack 3 variant will be commenced nationwide on 14th February, and for Pack 1 and Pack 2 in March, 2025. Deliveries will also begin in early weeks of March. Test drives will be start in three phases. The 1st phase will include six major cities – Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Pune and Chennai, starting from 14th January. Mahindra BE 6, XEV 9e: Range, Battery
Both EVs have been designed on the born electric INGLO platform and come with the two battery packs – 59kWh and 79kWh. Mahindra has sourced the batteries from the world’s top EV producer – BYD. The carmaker says it uses a ‘compact three-in-one powertrain’ that consists of a motor, an inverter and the transmission. The 59kWh battery version delivers a claimed power of 228bhp and an ARAI-certified range of 556km.
The 79kWh batter variant pushes out a maximum power of 281bhp and promises a range of 682km (ARAI). Initially, the EVs are offered with the RWD setup only. The AWD version launch might also be on cards, but it will come at a later stage. The BE 6 and XEV 9e have three drive modes – Range, Everyday and Race along with an additional Boost mode offering 10 seconds of peak torque.
Mahindra BE 6, XEV 9e: Charging Time
Buyers will get a lifetime warranty on both the battery packs. The carmaker claims that one can juice up its batteries from 20 to 80 percent in just 20 minutes by using a 175kW DC fast charger. A 11.2kW AC charger and 7.3kW AC charger are provided by Mahindra, which can fully charge it in 6 hours (59kWh)/8 hours (79kWh) and 8.7 hours (50kWh)/11.7 hours (79kWh), respectively. One must note that these AC chargers will be available for purchase separately.

Both EVs are one of the most feature-packed vehicles in their categories. The BE 6 has a cockpit-like interior with the dual 12.3-inch floating screens supporting the new MAIA software with over 30 pre-installed apps. The infotainment unit has three pre-set themes along with the signature tunes, ambient light and climate control adjustments. Interestingly, the Mahindra BE 6 is the first car in its segment to come with the augmented reality HUD (head-up display).

The Mahindra XEV 9e has three-screen setup each measuring 12.3-inch, running on Adrenox software. The electric coupe SUV also has a twin-spoke flat-bottom steering wheel, a 16-speaker Harman Kardon system with Dolby Atmos, HUD, Level 2 ADAS, a 360 degree camera, 7 airbags, a panoramic sunroof, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, rear AC vents, automatic climate control, Type C charging ports and more.

The BE 6 comes in eight paint schemes – Everest White Satin, Everest White, Tango Red, Stealth Black, Deep Forest, Desert Myst Satin, Desert Myst and, Firestorm Orange.
