Hyderabad: The Railway Protection Force (RPF) Secunderabad team organised an awareness campaign focused on passenger safety and against trespassing on railway tracks at Lalapet-Tarnaka Railway Bridge on Tuesday.
The RPF officials said the initiative was aimed to educate the public about crucial safety measures to prevent accidents and ensure safe railway travel.
As part of the campaign, the citizens were counseled and briefed on the importance of not boarding or de-boarding moving trains, a dangerous practice that poses significant risks to passengers. Additionally, citizens were requested not to trespass railway tracks, with clear instructions to use Foot Over Bridges (FOBs) for safe passage.
To further enhance safety awareness, participants were informed about the Railway Protection Force’s toll-free number, 139, to seek immediate assistance in case of any emergencies or concerns related to railway safety.
