My car will get out of warranty soon, so I’m planning to purchase an extended warranty as an insurance for my DSG.

My Heisenberg is munching miles for breakfast, this month alone, we have done 5000kms. 1500kms were done by my dad on solo trips to Bastar, who by the way is 60 years young. As of 26th December, I have dropped my car for 1.1L kms service, I was expecting to get the car back today but they will keep it for a day. Following work are to be carried-
- General service and check-up
- Coolant is becoming black again, I got the water pump, coolant flush done few months ago
- Paint is peeling from some areas where a denting painting work was carried earlier
- Some jerks are observed on DSG shifts
- Rest, the car feels tight to drive and engine is performing flawlessly

Also, I bought the Service Pack for my diesel Rapid DSG for 18k, which is a bargain I feel. The last time it was 19.5k, they have reduced the price by removing some items. If I get it serviced without the SMP, it will easily cost me 13-14k but with the SMP one service costs 9k, which is a very good price considering it’s a Skoda, a diesel plus the service interval is 15k. I will keep the post updated and hopefully they keep good care of my car unlike the previous times.
