Conclusion

Buyers looking to save some cash can also opt for the second-generation Amaze as they are still being sold. In all fairness, the mid-spec variant offers the best value for money. While the base spec is pretty loaded, it does miss out on some tech-savvy features like Lane-watch Camera, wireless charger and more that are now considered must-haves. While one has to spend Rs 1.10 lakh on top of the base variant to opt for the VX, you do get your money’s worth.

The top-spec ZX variant is an additional Rs 60,000 more than the VX, which will give you better-looking alloy wheels and the talk of the town Level 2 ADAS features.

Do you think that VX is the most value-for-money variant, also if you had to buy, which variant would you pick? The Base, Mid or the Top?

Here’s what BHPian Small Bot replied:

While the VX has pretty much all the features that I’d want in a Honda car, I’d personally go for the ZX – purely for the ADAS. It’s not THAT pricier over the VX, just about 60K more. And I strongly believe that people will sooner or later get used to ADAS over a period of time. I don’t think the ADAS can be retrofitted too.

Voted for ZX, just for the ADAS. If it were not there, the VX is probably the only option that any Amaze buyer should even look at, for the VFM quotient.

Here’s what BHPian neeraj0272 replied:

Voted for ZX as I always advocate strongly to always buy the top model. As the value we get for the added expense of the top model can be enjoyed over the whole period of the car. Also at the time of resale, we can get some extra price for the top model thus mitigating this added expense.

Here’s what BHPian ramnaresh_2000 replied:

ZX is my choice, just for an additional 60k, you get the advanced features of ADAS. This will immensely help in highway runs and resale value as in the future down the lane after 5-10 years, ADAS will be mainstream in many cars in the future.

Go with ZX even if you don’t use ADAS. My dad has SX(O) Creta and has never used Sunroof or Cruise Control even once and it has been driven 75k kms till date.
