Woman orders via Blinkit Zepto and Swiggy X post – Hyderabad woman orders via Blinkit Zepto and Swiggy to see who delivers first viral X post

A Hyderabad woman turned her curiosity into a quick experiment, pitting three quick-commerce apps – Blinkit, Zepto, and Swiggy Instamart – against each other to determine who delivers the fastest. The results had social media users talking.

Sneha, a student of the Indian School of Business (ISB) studying at the Hyderabad campus, shared her findings in a series of posts on X. She and her friend Aryan ordered different items from the apps simultaneously to test their promised delivery times:

  • Swiggy Instamar: Sid Farm’s milk (21 mins)
  • Zepto: Milky Mist paneer (8 mins)
  • Blinkit: Super You and Whole Truth protein bars (13 mins)

In her post, Sneha described the anticipation: “Then came the fun part – waiting?”

Blinkit stole the show, arriving first. Swiggy Instamart followed in second place, while Zepto lagged behind, taking 30 minutes despite its initial promise of 10 minutes. According to Sneha, a chat with the Zepto delivery partner revealed the delay was due to the store’s distance from the campus.

Sneha shared her experience with unedited videos of the deliveries, making her experiment a hit online.

Social media users didn’t hold back with their thoughts. “During my stay in Delhi, a Swiggy store was 10 metres away. Delivery should take less than 5 mins, but wrong maps and inaccurate updates made it 20 mins.”

Others highlighted their own delivery experiences: “Did Blinkit and Swiggy arrive before the committed time? I was rather thinking about their conservative approach to promising and delivering before that. Similar to what I’ve seen Zomato do. Always creates a pleasant experience seeing the order got delivered 30 mins before promised.”

Sneha’s post charmed users who could relate to the quirks of quick-commerce apps.

While Blinkit emerged as the clear winner in this friendly race, the race takeaway was how these services can surprise – or frustrate – users in equal measure.
