Hyderabad: In a tragic incident, a mother and daughter duo died in a road accident at Tukkuguda in Maheshwaram on the city outskirts on Wednesday.
The victims, who were yet to be identified, were proceeding on a scooter from Kalwakurthy towards Hyderabad when the mishap occurred.
As per available information, when the duo reached Tukkuguda road near the Outer Ring Road, a rashly driven truck hit the scooter. As a result, the duo travelling on the two-wheeler fell on the road and died on the spot with grievous bleeding injuries.
The police have booked a case and are investigating. Efforts are on to nab the absconding truck driver.
